IQ boost app for iPhone and iPad

Great app for anyone looking to challenge his or her brain! Ive read numerous articles stating that this type of training (dual n-back) is one of the only proven methods of increasing IQ.

This is not a "fun game". It is, however, an excellent implementation of the dual n-back system that has been shown in actual studies to improve fluid intelligence. When you first start playing the game, it can be extremely frustrating. But if you keep it up. You will improve, and the game becomes easier—at least until you progress to the next difficulty setting. From my own experience with playing the game, my ability to recall information that Ive read or heard (on a short-term basis) has seemingly approved. The developers have done a great job designing an simple but still attractive user interface. They have also included an excellent tutorial mode, which should make the rules of the game, which can seem confusing or counter-intuitive until you see them in action, obvious. If you are looking for an app with addictive gameplay, you will be disappointed by IQ boost. But as Ive already mentioned, IQ boost, does not seem as though it is supposed to be a fun game in the traditional sense. The dual n-back game is a real mental workout—according to the studies results at least— and playing IQ boost feels like real mental exercise. Like a a real workout, IQ boost is tiring, when your timed session is over (the studys authors measured fluid intelligence increases when subjects played the game for 20 minute sessions) you will be ready to do something else. But like a real workout, the results should make you smile

A solid implementation of the Dual N-Back game (search it on google). Practicing this exercise daily will improve your IQ. I hope the developers continue to improve it to offer a compelling alternative to the free versions available for Windows/OSX/Linux such as Brain Workshop.

Well designed simple application that does what its supposed to do... and well. The price seems a little high for what it does, but it does have a limited audience, so that might be justified. I would like an explanation of how the "score" is calculated. Potential idea: provide the ability to upload your progress to a server. Perhaps also provide IQ tests over set intervals to help gauge the hypothesis of the article that this application is based on.

Does exactly what its supposed to. The high score page is tremendously motivating, and its free! How can you argue with that? To those who complain its not fun enough: its not designed to be fun, its a tool for increasing your working memory. Weightlifting isnt designed to be fun either, but tons of people do it anyway.

Free! Free?! Cant complain people this has everything it needs, to do what its intended to do, its really that simple. Also, its free now. Supposedly this app is better then the rest and it has a low rating, unbelievable. Been going at it for the last day and a half and Im up to level 3. Might be a placebo but I feel smarter already, lol. Give it a try, be persistent, dont give up, and remember there are no shortcuts someplace worth going! Big up to IQ boost. Cant wait to be an Einstein.

It doesnt automatically go to the next set but gets stuck, please update

I am honestly disappointed about the game. If I could go back and get reimburse, I would. The game has no graphics, it is very repetitive and basically not fun... Especially not at that price...

At The end of a game does not display results and freezes the display.

Im hearing impaired and the update removed the option to play a visual only mode. Now Im forced to play dual mode.

Dont even bother downloading this app unless you want to spend money. Im so glad I downloaded this app before version 2.0.4, because with this latest release, it has become useless due to the new limitation of having to pay to access any mode higher than 1-back. I wont ever update it unless the developer changes it back to the way it was.
